Adrianna Linares, LCSW

Welcome!

Therapy is the best type of self-care you can start!  I know making the choice to begin therapy can be scary but you are not alone in your journey. I will be by your side to tackle the anxiety, stress, insecurities, fears, and negative thoughts that are stopping you from being your true authentic self. Together we can utilize your strengths, hobbies, or interests and incorporate them into a type of therapy that is uniquely yours because you are worth it.

Education

I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2013 and my Master’s in Social Work in 2014 from The University of Texas at Austin. During those years I interned at different shelters in Austin and at a domestic violence agency in Costa Rica. Those experiences and working for an Adoption & Foster Care Agency in Houston solidified my passion for working with children.

In a move to diversify my skill set I worked with the county hospital as a clinical case manager and gained an appreciation for working adults and the elderly in a clinic based setting.

I obtained my clinical license & decided it was time to utilize more of my clinical skills and  pursue my childhood dream of being a therapist.

My counseling focus

  • Adjustment disorder in children, teens, and adults that cause emotional dysregulation
  • Anxiety, general, social, and anticipatory, in all ages
  • Depression in teens and adults
  • ADHD in children, teens, and adults
  • Women’s Issues, particularly empowering girls and women of color

My Approach

I lead sessions with empathy, compassion, and authenticity in order to provide a space where you can truly be you. I believe in taking a person-centered approach and utilizing CBT, Narrative Therapy, Inner-child work, strengths based approach, and Play Therapy. I enjoy being creative in sessions and utilizing songs, videos, art, sensory toys, aromatherapy, and more.
