Dominique Brown, BSW, MSW Intern
Welcome!
As a dedicated and passionate MSW intern, I am committed to facilitating positive change in the lives of individuals and families through empathetic counseling and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. With a background in social work and a strong desire to help others, I am on a mission to create a supportive and nurturing environment in which clients can explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and work toward achieving their personal goals.
Education
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from The University of Houston Downtown and am currently completing my final months to obtain my LMSW with a focus in Clinical Social Work at the University of Kentucky. My educational background equips me with a solid understanding of human behavior, psychology, and the social systems that influence our lives. I believe in the power of a collaborative and client-centered approach to therapy. I work with individuals to identify their strengths and resources, helping them gain insight into their challenges and providing the tools they need to make lasting positive changes in their lives. My therapeutic approach is informed by cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, and a strengths-based perspective.
My Approach
I am deeply passionate about mental health and well-being, and I am committed to destigmatizing seeking help for mental health concerns. I am dedicated to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can open up about their struggles and work towards healing and personal growth.
