Welcome

Making the decision to reach out to a therapist is already one brave step that you have made today! As your therapist, my goal will be to work alongside you to be the healthiest and happiest possible version of yourself.

It is my belief that you already innately possess the tools to overcome anything that life throws at you. Together, we will pull these tools out of your toolbox and figure out how to best use them to your advantage.

As the sister of an adopted child, I initially chose the field of social work with the hopes of working in adoption. I worked for a private adoption and foster care agency for many years. During my time with the agency, I met a ton of people, each with their own stories of heartbreak and healing. It was through my encounters with my clients, as well as with my own brother, that lead me to the desire to work with clients on a more personal level through therapy.

Education

I graduated with my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013. After graduating from UT, I went on to attend the University of Houston where I graduated with my Master of Social Work in 2016.

I worked at an adoption agency for over eight years where I enjoyed working with families and children.

I earned my Clinical License in Spring 2021 and immediately knew that I wanted to use my experience to begin helping others through therapy. I am open to working with clients with a variety of struggles.

My counseling focus

  • Adoption and Foster Care Issues
  • Adjustment Issues
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Family Issues

My Approach

I work from a strengths based perspective and typically use a variety of therapeutic modalities such as holistic approach, solution focused therapy, polyvagal theory and internal family systems theory.

My style is relaxed and friendly. I want you to feel at ease. There will be no judgment from me. I just want to get to know the authentic you and to help you in any way that I can. I have a bubbly personality and will be ready to be both your coach and cheerleader as we navigate through the therapeutic process. I feel comfortable working with people from all types of backgrounds, religions, sexual orientations, etc. I hope to hear from you soon so that we can begin working together towards happiness and health!
